As a Kaiāwhina – Family Harm and Youth Prevention you will support the delivery of “Our Business” outcomes. The Kaiāwhina – Family Harm and Youth Prevention role is responsible for engaging with at risk and vulnerable rangitahi and their whanau. Ensuring they receive the appropriate end to end support and assistance.
Day to day you will be working collaboratively with Stakeholders, Whānau, Iwi, Hapu, Young People, NGO’s, Ministries, Religious Groups and Police workgroups like Safer Whānau, Youth Aid Services and Supported Resolutions Co-Ordinator for better outcomes for all.
You will have the opportunity to implement and facilitate projects to benefit Youth and Whānau Development.
Key Accountabilities:
- Engage with whānau to understand the dynamics that are occurring within that whānau environment, identifying the initial and emerging strengths, needs and risks. * In consultation with others, identify, understand and respond to whānau who are at risk, provide ongoing support by linking them with appropriate specialist services in accordance to their strengths, needs, risks and aspirations. * Work in an integrated way with other Government agencies, Non-Government agencies, iwi partners and community partners for the best outcomes for young people and whānau. * Contribute to Te Huringa o te Tai and our Prevention First Response

Remuneration upon appointment to the role will be (starting) $73,207- $84,993 (midpoint)
